RARE ZIG-ZAG PATTERN TIGER STRIPE 8 POINT HUGE 7 & 5/8 USMC HAT CAP
STUNNINGLY CRISP & CUSTOM MADE PERFECTLY CRAFTED & NEAR MINT!
They do not get any better than this. The Zig-Zag pattern is clearly identified in the phenomenal text, "Tiger Patterns" by Sergeant Richard D. Johnson as the premier expert in the field as a rare pattern in every regard. This billed cap is a rarity not only because of the pattern, but because of the size as well.

While the 8 point crown is typically associated with the USMC, Marine Corps, this style was also popular with Navy and also even some advisory functions as a custom made piece. While we will never know precisely in this case because the original owner of this fabric gem is long gone to history, we do have the item and it is s screamer in every regard.

Visually appealing, it is bright, has no fading and no rips, tears or repairs and no soiling. The fabric itself is either mint or near mint and the cap is fully lined. It was made by a pure crafts-woman or man and is definitely custom, but so finely done that it looks factory almost.

The pattern was created exclusively for CIDG and other indigenous militia forces. The Zig-Zag pattern, as Sergeant Johnson points out in the Bible text, Tiger Patterns on page 185 where he say:

"It seems the CIDG indigenous personnel were well repudiated by the ethnic Vietnamese as sub-social outcasts and savages and were viewed as little more than ignorant hillbillies. The ZIG pattern was designed and provided with of all things, the enlarged, erect image of a penis within it. And is a "Phallic Pattern" of which there are two."'

I will let the reader fins the one place on this cap where that figure on the crown is located.
