HUGE FLIGHT LOG ORDERS PHOTO K2 JET WAR PILOT GROUPING!
COMPLETE FIGHTER PILOT'S ARCHIVES AND DOCUMENTS LOT!
I COULD NOT TAKE PHOTOS OF EVERY ASPECT OF EVERYTHING IN THIS OFFERING!

Many pages are front and rear printed. This magnificent and comprehensive lot of original items is a direct widow, next of kin purchase and a sad tale. I was doing a display in a retirement facility in 2009 when this woman tells me her late husband was a pilot and he died with no living children and she had nowhere to give the items to. I bought them at a generous price and here is one of the items in that lot, because the pilot was a B-26 Marauder Flight Commander and assigned to the rare unit of the 1st PATHFINDER SQUADRON (Provisional). The Squadron was a specially formed unit (DETACHED SERVICE) squadron that was equipped with radar to lead other flights of B-26 Marauders to targets in bad weather or night with zero visibility. First. I guarantee authenticity of every shred of item is this and every lot I sell as being 100% as advertised:

8 x 10 original era photo of Captain Aldous in the cockpit of an F-84E. USAF 27th Fighter Escort Group, at Bergstrom AFB, TX.

Six photo shown here first as a lot and then some close ups: Many taken at K-2 and about 3.5 by 5 inches. All originals.

Nine photo shown here first as a lot and then some close ups: Many taken at K-2 and about 2.75 x 4 inches. All originals. The one in the bottom center is a guy in parachute with another man behind him as if hiding.

Eight photo shown here first as a lot and then some close ups: Many taken at K-2 and about 3.5 by 5 inches. All originals. The most noteworthy is the unit sign with the "JUST FAMOUS" on the bottom, which is a pun against the VF-192 "WORLD FAMOUS GOLDEN DRAGONS" - a NAVY unit. If you like classic films, check out The Bridges of Toko-Ri starring William Holden that has some great original footage of VF-192 squadron in action. Check out the huge unit patch on the guy's flight suit - all N-2 flight jackets!

Six photo shown here first as a lot and then some close ups: Many taken at K-2 and about 3.5 by 5 inches. All originals.

Ten photo shown here first as a lot and then some close ups: Jets on missions coming and going! Many taken at K-2 and about 3.5 by 4.5 inches. All originals.

A fine lot of ORIGINAL PILOT AIR FORCE CERTIFICATES! 1948, 50, 53 & 54! Certificates of service from 48 to 53! Officers pay data flight card! The man's ORIGINAL GI ID CARD! And a few fraternal cards fro the Air Force associations! These are very hard to obtain! You get them all, from A to Z!

I rough count 13 INDIVIDUAL FLIGHT RECORDS! One for each month. This guy even flew B-25s! 1950, 51, 52 and 1953 covered! With all the important overseas in KOREA months he was there with the unit, and flying to the encoded base names is listed, such as K2, K8, to Japan and more! I need not state again how RARE these types of flight records are to come across!

Next come all of his individual certifications, diplomas, documents, some orders, his full personnel file extracts that go back to WWII and mention service with the famed 1st Pathfinders Squadron! All is here and complete! This is a very rare lot of docs that has medical and physiological training certificates as well included. RARE, RARE, RARE!!! Original flight certifications, flight checks for actual flights! Observer training stats and the AWARD for OBSERVER is included - the actual award itself! I rough count 18 docs!

I also have his full size diploma as an OBSERVER granted! About 8.5 x 11 inches.

There are letters written home to his parents from Korea & Japan.

There are newspaper articles about his unit's victories!

There is a nice letter from a vet to the man's daughter years after his death explaining about the base and their time together in area and the combat missions they flew against enemy tanks and more! The letter is also types out for legibility!

LASTLY - A PAIR OF THE MAN'S DOG TAGS! ORIGINALS!!!

This pilot stayed in the AAF and flew P-82 and then went to Korea (which is where this lot is derived). See his many, many other documented groupings. Includes a bio that was prepared at a local ceremony recognizing this Utah resident's past in 1995. He died in 1962. Great man, great life of service.
