3 - RAREST TYPE IB ENAMEL HEART ROBBINS NUMBER 409,435 PURPLE HEART MEDAL!
TYPE II SLOTTED BROOCH BR ROBBINS (200,000 MADE) WITH TYPE IB ENAMEL HEART!
100% original issue and perfect number 409,435 SLOTTED BROOCH TYPE II between 1942 and 1943 by ROBBINS COMPANY (400,000 to 600,000) medals. The fact that this particular medal has a TYPE 1B enamel heart and NOT a latter war plastic heart, would lend you to believe that it was of the first models to be made by Robbins, as it is within .045% through their total production of only 200,000 medals.

Both the Robbins and Rex Corporations used the initial specifications from the original 1932 and subsequent 1939 Medal Arts contract which called for an enamel heart to be fired and adhered to the front, whereas later on the plastic heart was allowed, as it simplified design and assembly.

This medal has no defects and is in immaculate condition. The suspension ribbon is strong, has no rips and no problems. The small lapel badge is also in the box as is a separete ribbon that is mounted on a crimp without the pin brooch. 100% Guaranteed original.
