NAMED MICHAEL J. BUCELLO KIA (BOXED) SLOT BROOCH PURPLE HEART MEDAL!
"OFFICIALLY ENGRAVED" LATE WAR STANDARD ARMY PURPLE HEART MEDAL!
This WWII original slotted brooch medal is a bright and vibrant beauty. The person was obviously wounded once prior and survived, with the additional Oak Leaf being present on the 2nd award for the KIA. I have not been able to find anything on this man, but the Official Engraving is beyond dispute.

WWII Coffin style leatherette hinged case is also in used but perfect condition, with handling on the front as shown in the photos.

Awarded primarily for wounds received in direct action against an enemy, and for any branch of service because the Navy borrowed a few dozen thousands in WWII, so the man could have been Army, Marines of Navy or AAF. This is a late war, slotted brooch model with a plastic heart, common - except for being named.

Fine medal, immaculate condition, minor age and handling, primo all the way! You will find none better.
